Obituary for Ezra Chase Trumbull Jr.

Ezra C. Trumbull, Jr., 88, of Salem, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015.

He was born in Haverill, MA, a son of the late Ezra and Mildred Trumbull and had been an area resident for most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army, was a member of Goodwin Memorial United Methodist Church, Taylor Lodge #23, Eastern Star # 161, and was an active community volunteer, especially at the Salem VA Medical Center and Salem Food Pantry for many years. Mr. Trumbull was employed as an installation and service engineer at General Electric for over 30 years prior to retiring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Mullikin Trumbull, two brothers, and a sister.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Shepherd Trumbull; daughters, Wanda Tabellion and husband Mike, Shirl Chittum, Nancy Johnson, Vickie Young and husband Jay, and Penny Forrest and husband Roger. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Laura and husband T.J., Andy and fiancée Anna, Chase and wife Kathleen, Jacqueline, Zachary, Timothy, Daniel, Joseph, Paige, Josh, Ellen, Ann and David, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, all services will be private. However, the family will receive friends during a period of visitation on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodwin Memorial United Methodist Church 5791 W. River Rd.
