Obituary for Eunice Leonorah Ellis (Williams)
Eunice Leonorah Ellis, 86, of Salem and formerly of Marlie Garden, Jamaica, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Williams and Mabel Smith-Williams; husband, Neroy Alexander Ellis; sisters, Maylin, Gertrude, and Olga Williams; brothers, Michael and Windell Williams; and son, Raymond Ellis.
Eunice was employed as an accountant with the Jamaican government prior to retiring. She was a faithful and dedicated Christian, and an avid gardener.
Family left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Maxine Ellis-Lopez (Junior), Norman Ellis (Lorna), Trevor Ellis, Madge Ellis-Lawrence (Steven), and Ann Mureen Ellis-Rhoden; siblings, Everald Williams, Vandel Williams, Vernice Williams, Violet Williams, and James Williams; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nephews and nieces, and grand nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Roanoke, with Pastor Wayne Gadman officiating.
