Sandra Lee Owens, 65, of Floyd, VA, passed away and joined the Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 9:12 p.m. She was a retired beautician of 26 years. Preceding her in death was her mother, Frances Pearl Tinsley; father, Wallace Lee Tinsley; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Lorraine Dennis. Her surviving family includes a sister, Susan Barry; a niece; children, Merinell Howard with two beloved grandchildren, Heather and Cory, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Owens with one granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Gross with three grandsons, Jason Gross with two granddaughters and two grandsons, and Susie Gross with two granddaughters; a family friend thought of as a daughter, Hope McDonald; one great-grandson; and two great-granddaughters. A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the John M.
