Obituary for Robert P. Uryniak

Robert P. “Bob” Uryniak, of Cloverdale, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, died suddenly on Saturday, October 20, 2012, three days following his 61st birthday.
Bob was a phenomenal drummer and accomplished artist whose talents will be greatly missed. He had a quiet soul and touched more lives than he ever realized. Bob lived in Cloverdale prior to his death and was formerly of Pittsfield, Mass. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Uryniak, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Christine; his mother, Dorothy Uryniak; sister, Shirley Spiewak (Lewie); mother-in-law, Paula Saunders; sister-in-law, Susan Davis (Jimmy); and brother-in-law, Danny Saunders. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Finally, Bob leaves behind his beloved Yorkie, Pinkie, to “guard the house”, and his sweet cat, Gracie, both of whom loved their Daddy very much.
Bob was blessed with several friends who were with him through good times and bad, you all know who you are and how much that friendship was cherished.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem. Friends may gather at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. A celebratory visitation will be held at the home following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s honor to the arts and music programs of the donor’s local schools. An online guest book is available for family and friends by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.
