Obituary for Dianna Leigh Ewing

Dianna L. Ewing, of Salem, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. She loved her family, adored her grandchildren, and put everyone in her life before herself. Preceding her in death was her mother, Macel I. Miller; nephew, Matthew John Miller; and father-in-law, Bernard Dean. Her surviving family includes her children, Kristian V. Ward, SháKia L. Vaassen, Jasmine L. Dean, and Christopher Dean; brother, John Miller and wife, Debbie; daughters-in-law, Nikita Joy and Melissa Proctor; grandchildren, Mattheus Vaassen, Aryreana Harris, T’sara Dean, and Gabriel Proctor; and many nieces and nephews. To celebrate Dianna’s life, the family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home for a time of visitation. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting assistance with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home. An online guestbook is available at www.johnmoakey.com.
