Obituary for Lynn Herschell Anderson

Lynn Herschell Anderson, 89, of Salem, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014.
He was born in Greenbrier County, WV, the son of the late Lynn Ashby Anderson and Wilma Marlow Anderson Walton and had been an area resident most of his life. He served with the US Navy during World War II and was a member of West Side Church of Christ in Salem. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Scott Anderson, and a son Mark Anderson.
He is survived by a son Jerry Anderson and his wife Kay; three grandchildren, Brooke Anderson, Aaron Anderson and his wife Emilee, and Nathan Anderson and his wife Ellen. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ella and Nell Anderson.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at West Side Church of Christ. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Side Church of Christ, 1705 Starview Dr., Salem, VA 24153.
