Richard Andrew Funnell, 68, of Elliston, VA died Thursday, September 21, 2006. He was born October 31, 1937 in Norfolk, VA a son of Helen M. Whitlock Funnell and the late Frederick C. Funnell, Jr. Mr. Funnell was a retired Master Sgt. from the US Air Force with over 20 years service. He was also retired from NCR Corporation as a computer technician. In addition to his mother, Helen M. Whitlock Funnell, he is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jennings Conley, Belinda Funnell, Kathleen and Ronald Roberts and Patricia and Jerry Smith; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Connie Funnell; one sister, Nancy Wileman; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 pm Saturday, September 23, 2006 from the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Dave Vanderpool
