In Loving Memory of
Vaughan, Martha Bursch, 83, of
Salem
, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2006.
She was a loving mother and wife and a 44 year resident of
Salem
after living in Culpepper and Fries,
Va.
for several years. She served
students in the cafeteria in the Roanoke County School System and was an
active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in
Salem
. She loved dancing, bingo and
serving others. Surviving
family include her husband, William W. Vaughan; children, Bonnie and Gary
Whitley, Robert Vaughan, Allen and Judy Vaughan, Dahlgren Vaughan and Mary
V. Young; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many friends.
She will truly missed by her relatives from
Minnesota
, especially Mary B. Addison and Sidney and Rosie Hurley.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 1:00
pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem with Father
James Parke officiating. Interment
will follow at
St. Andrews
Diocesan
Cemetery
. The family will receive
friends on Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a prayer
service at 6:00 pm at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in
Salem
