George, John Allen, 72, of Salem , passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 at the V A Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired three years ago. He was the son of Bertha and Bill George of Monroville , Ohio . Surviving family include his wife, Betty George; son, Mark George of Colorado; daughters, Louise Jones of New Mexico, Sue Aicher and Jessica Paisley both of Salem, Brenda Stovall and Lisa McClain both of Texas; seven grandchildren; one step-grandchild and one great granddaughter.
