In Loving Memory of

Betty Willis Morris

Morris, Betty Willis, On Friday, December 8, 2006 God opened his arms and called home his faithful servant Betty Willis Morris, age 79.  She was originally from Ashland , W.Va. But had made her home in Roanoke for the past 54 years.  She retired from Mick-or-Mack Grocery Stores in 1985.  Betty was a loving and caring person and enriched the lives of the many who knew her.  She will be sadly missed but always remembered.  She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Julia Willis; husband, Richard A. Morris and son, David L. Morris.  Surviving family includes a son, Richard Morris of Fla.; daughters, Barbara Jean Morris of Lynchburg, Deborah Beck and husband, Fred of Salem; daughter-in-law, Wanda Morris of Fla; grandchildren, Lee Morris, Travis Morris, Carla Schontag and Adam Beck; great grandchildren, Anthony Morris and Taylor Schontag; brother, William Willis and wife, Christina and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Rev. Tom Stocks officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery .  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 1-4 pm at the funeral home.  Many thanks to Dr. Witten and the Lewis Gale 5th floor west staff, the Brian Center Fincastle staff and the many friends at Stratford Village Apartments.  On-line condolences may be made at www.johnmoakey.com
