Betty “NoNo” Mongan Irish, 78, entered through the gates of Heaven to meet her Creator on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. She attended Mt. Ivy Christian Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Irish; brother, Dennis Mongan; and sister, Kitty Prime. Her surviving family includes her sisters, Juanita Campbell and Jenny Sires; brother, Brenton Mongan; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judy Irish; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Rick Conley; and several nieces and nephews. NoNo’s love will forever be in the hearts of her many surviving grandkids, Melissa Herdman and husband, Erik, Rick Conley and wife, Krissy, Heather Conley, Shannon Stinnette and husband, Brian, Erin Burrows and husband, John, Holly Sweeney, Matt Conley and wife, Emilee, Caitlin Irish, and Taylor Irish; and great-grandkids, Michael Herdman, Macey and Jack Conley, Maddy and Jake Stinnette, Grace, Emma, Sarah, and Luke Burrows, Olivia Sweeney, and Noah Conley. She will also be greatly missed by her pet companion, Minnie. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem with Pastor Steve Pasley officiating. Interment will be private.
