In Loving Memory of

Mary Emma Parker

Mary Emma Parker, 89, of Salem quietly passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Salem . She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to cook meals for her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Parker in 1979 and sons, Bobby and Charlie N. Parker.  Her surviving family includes sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Joyce Parker, Freddie Jean and Frances Parker and Gary Dennis Parker; daughters, Louis L. Brown and Donna Ellen Parker; grandchildren, Norma Diane Brown, Michael Edwin Brown, Tony Steven Brown, Kenneth J. Parker and wife, Debbie, Cathy L. Sargent and husband, Tommy, Melissa Flanary and husband, Rod, Cindy Bennett, Steve Parker and wife, Cathy, Michelle Parker and Sandy Sawaney; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Newton and Betty Severa; and a brother, Bob Carroll.   Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. from the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem , with the Rev. Courtney Coffer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Park in   Salem . Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9  p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent at www.johnmoakey.com. 389-5441.
