Kenneth Alden David, 80, of Salem , VA passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. He was born November 8, 1925 in Corbin , KY a son of the late George W. and Chloe Vanhuss David. Mr. David retired from C&P Telephone Co. with 42 years of service. He was a member of Windsor Hills United Methodist Church and was active in the Telephone Pioneers Organization. He was preceded in death by a son, Lee Alan David. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Fletcher David; a son, Mark Alden David and wife Donna; granddaughter, Hannah Mae David; daughter, Carol Ann David Munoz and husband Manuel; grandson, David Alden Munoz; sisters-in-law, Ann Fletcher, Virginia Carol Fletcher and Willie Byrd David; niece Suzanne David; and a brother-in-law, Billy Lee Fletcher and wife Arbutus. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2005 from the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Tom Lee and Rev. Branan Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Windsor Hills United Methodist Church , 3951 Windsor Rd. , SW , Roanoke , VA 24018 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
