In Loving Memory of

Davis, Rev. Jimmy Edward, 73, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 22, 2005.  He had been in the ministry for 32 years and proudly served his country in the U S Navy for 8 years.  He was predeceased by his father, Lovell Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Brice and Jane Davis and a sister, Oralane Davis.  Surviving family includes his wife, Marie Davis; sons and daughters-in-law, Garry Davis, Larry and Marcie Davis, Barry and Beth Davis; mother, Fannie Lee Davis; brother, Nelson Davis and wife, Ruby of Lynchburg; sister, Patty Davis of Blacksburg; sisters-in-law, Peggy Selbert and husband, Donald of Missouri and Charlotte Rhodes of Christiansburg; brother-in-law, Taylor Vaughan and wife, Ann of Milton, FL; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2005 at 11:00 am at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Rev. D. O. Weaver and Rev. Van Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park .  The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 24, 2005 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gateway Christian Academy at 2196 Harding Ave. , Christiansburg , Va. or the VFW Post 1264.  Arrangements by John M.
